The DeskCenter Management Suite realizes the detection of information by using the WMI interface. From Windows 2000 on, the WMI interface is already integrated in the operating system. On PC systems with Windows NT4.0 and Windows 95 up to ME, which have no WMI 1.5 installed, it has to be installed subsequently.
You can download the file that is required for the installation here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.as...5b-fbf236e0e875 This file has to be executed on the particular computer. After that, it is absolutely necessary to reboot the computer! Hint: The access on WMI is realized by COM resp. DCOM. Therefore, you have to install on computers with Windows 98 (or lower) either the Internet Explorer 5 (or higher) or the dcomcnfg.exe . Here, it is absolutely necessary to reboot the computer, too!
