If a PC system cannot be inventoried remotely, please check first if you can establish a connection to the remote system through the computer management of the local system. The most remote connection errors over WMI are caused by authorization problems. (The user you are using to access the remote system over WMI has to be a member of the local administrators group on the remote system.)
If you have checked the required authorization and you’re still not able to establish a connection to the remote system, please use the following workaround by Microsoft which offers you a detailed support for your error analysis. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter...s/help/wmi.mspx In very rare cases this problem stands in connection with the policies for WSUS groups. If several PC systems do not allow a remote connection to WMI and exactly this PC systems are in the same WSUS group, this could be an approach to finding the error.
